Entry 9 β€’ May 30 2026

βœ™

Dear diary,

It's been 2 or so months since my last entry. I keep forgetting this place exists due to my amnesia. It's Patient 13 again, so everyone welcome me back from purgatory again. ...Or Don't. ([: :]ΰ½€`) I've been in a pretty positive mood lately. Life has felt good, and a lot of kind changes are happening to my life. I always sort of believed 2026 would be better, after all, they say it's the year of new beginnings and change. I would say, so far, that's accurate.

As per tradition with my blog entries: Health Update. My wheelchair arrived mid-March, I think. It's been very useful recently as it's been really hot. I like wheeling around my kitchen while my boyfriend cooks.

I got extra disability money too. Not a lot, but money's money. I don't really care too much about it all. I got some Hatora merch with it. I have a now notably large Hatora merch collection at the moment. My favourite piece is my 30cm plush of her that I sleep with every night. Here is a picture of my boyfriend holding her on his lap, lol.

Early April I was admitted to the hospital. Autoimmune stuff again, I got sick and needed tests. Wore a cute gown n had some x-rays and blood tests and all of the usual.. Luckily it wasn't a long visit, or I'd just start freaking out. I like my own bed!. I have another blood test next week. My GP contacted me about my x-ray results the other day, and according to her, I have an LSTV spinal anomaly and inflamed joints (which caused them to book another blood test). Rheumatology stuff.

I'm currently reading back on my headmate's post and musing at how different our tastes are. I have virtually no interest in floristry outside of botanical reasons. I enjoy studying... not arranging. Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for me, I am a biology student this September. I originally had signed up to be a med student, but I changed my mind and went for biology last minute. (I wasn't exactly interested in being overworked for 5 years straight.) I got an offer the other day and accepted it. I'm beyond excited to go back to education. My study period should be 4-5 years, depending on what I decide to do. My boyfriend is in a similar situation, except he decided to study criminal psychology. Because of this path, I'll eventually end up moving to go to a separate university after the first year, since the introduction year is held at a campus nearby, and the actual course is in a different uni. I'm still excited, and if all goes well, the Halls should house both me and my boyfriend together in the same studio. ([亞]Ο‰')✌︎ I'm flipping between haematology and marine biology as my specific study, we'll see what I enjoy most along the way.

On an unrelated note, I have been indulging in my hobbies recently! I've been playing video games and collecting merchandise. I've been fixated intensely on Resident Evil, much like how I was as a young child. I integrated a source of Leon Kennedy (because of course I did... Why wouldn't I... -_-), and ended up in mountains of merch and with days worth of hours lost to playing the games. I have currently played sbout half of REr, then RE2r, RE3r, RE4r and a bit of the original, RE6 (but only Leon and Chris' campaign. So.) and RE9. I am currently replaying RE3r because I miss Carlos ., but I think my favourite game is RE4r. I've also been playing a lot of TLoZ, which is extremely nostalgic for me as it was one of the first video games I've played alongside PokΓ©mon. Holds a soft spot in my heart. I've been thoroughly enjoying replaying ToTK.

I have also been partial to embroidery and sewing as well. I need to get more materials so I can fully start embroidering cute things. I want to eventually embroider organs and medical things. I'd like to hand-sew my own Red Cross flags to put on my little Hatora/Red Cross Society display in my home.
That reminds me, I remember someone commenting on a Hatora post I made on Pinterest saying that the picture broke the Genèva Convention, which not only made me laugh because, well, Hatora is the Red Cross mascot in Japan... But also because breaking the Genèva Convention requires incorrect usage of the Red Cross symbol. The core use for the Red Cross symbol is strictly for medical neutrality. You must not shoot, you must not attack. The Red Cross Society's primary goal is to provide medical care for the sick snd wounded, meaning you shouldn't use it in ways that do not align with The Red Cross Society, or in unlawful ways such as parading as a Red Cross member when you are actually a combatant, or using it as a "generic symbol", as it is not such. Red Cross ≠ first aid. It is explicitly used only for the Red Cross Society, and in war, to identify those providing medical or humanitarian assistance. Breaking the Genèva Convention is not as simple as "using a red cross symbol", it is specifically for incorrect use. And as someone who has been raised directly with the army, and with those in The Red Cross Society across the world, I truly do believe they are a wonderful society. One of my earliest memories as a child was being taught first aid advice by a Red Cross Society medic whilst in the barracks. Truly, an experience that stuck with me.
My Goodness that was a ramble. Can you tell this is a special interest?

To end off, I'd like to say, I've been feeling... Safer. Recently. I won't touch on why, I don't think I'm ready for that. But I'm happy. I feel like I have more of a voice recently. It's as if I'm suffering less in silence. I am thankful to those who gave me a voice. I am thankful to feel safer. β™₯️

Summer is next week. I hope it is beautiful and bright. And I also hope to get a beach day or two, hehe.
